For the year 2005, Sassy Girl was one of the highest rating shows in Korea. Consistently on the top ten list, naging favorite talaga siya ng viewing public because of its different approach on love and marriage.

Based on the 2005 interpretation of the movie, “Legend of Chun-hyang,” this series explores the disastrous albeit funny consequences of a one-night stand. Well, hindi naman talaga sinasadya nila Marvin at Chun-hyang na mag-one night stand. Even though nothing really happened, the two were forced into marriage by their conservative but well-meaning families and relatives.

But they are just high school students! How will the two survive this marriage of extraordinary circumstances? Ang masama pa nito, Marvin is already in love with one of their classmates, Charina! What follows is a romantic comedy spun out of hilarious situations sometimes with disastrous results.

Chun-hyang is played by the cute Han Chae Young. Chun-hyang’s family is poor and her mother works in a cabaret but that doesn’t stop her from pursuing her dreams and ambitions. But will this early wedding help her achieve her goals?

Jae Hee plays Marvin. He is a tough and simple-minded guy. Marvin is the police chief’s son but he gets into fights in school a lot. He has no other plan but to make Charina fall in love with him. Will he wise up after he gets shackled up?

Eom Tae-Woong is Xander. He is the CEO of a casting company. He was taken by Chun-hyang’s honesty and beauty. Even though she is married, he could not stop himself from falling in love with her. But will Chun-hyang like him?

Charina is Park Si-Eun. She is Marvin’s first love. She never considered him as a boyfriend material until she experienced how it is to be rejected. She realized how special he really was. Will she win him back from his wife?

How will this love quadrangle run in the home and in the school of this young married couple? Will their pledges of “till death do us part” continue to hold in the face of competition?

About the Show

This romantic comedy series was a high rating show of Korea for the year 2005. It was continuously on the Top Ten during its run and even landed the number 1 spot during that time.


It was a 2005 interpretation of the movie, “Legend of Chun-hyang”. Two high school students,Marvin and Chun-hyang were forced to marry because they accidentally spent a night together. Although nothing happened, they were still pushed into proceeding with the matrimony.

The young bride was aware that her husband was in love with someone else, Charina. But still, that did not stop her from falling in love with him.

The relationship got complicated when Xander, a CEO of a famous casting company, fell in love with Chun-hyang and relentlessly pursued her. Together with Charina, the two plotted in separating Chun-hyang and Marvin…
